Game Description
Released, April 2021
PolyEmber is a 3D game that combines the elements of open-world exploration with crafting mechanics intertwined with a storyline affected by the way you choose to play the game. Your
decisions as a player will affect the narrative outcome, as well as influence future gameplay. While collecting parts, you can either choose to craft a generator for the laboratory to help your
fellow robots and clear your outstanding tasks / rogue status. Or you can craft a bomb to help out the mysterious people of the resistance and destroy the laboratory. You can’t craft both with the number of resources in the game, so the player must choose a side!

Breakdown
As the Project Lead, I mostly focused on project management and directing the overall vision for the game design and direction for the gameplay, story, and purpose behind PolyEmber.
With this project, we were excited to create a conflict and puzzle for the player to solve while exploring a large and dark environment. The player must roam around looking for items around the map, all while combing the items they collect to craft either a bomb or a generator. The player can learn more about the lore and purpose behind crafting items while visiting different stations around the map. Depending on what side of the resistance the player chooses, the player must craft the proper item to support that side. What side will you choose?
